Congressman Webcasts for Veterans

On February 11, 2013, Congressman Gibson hosted a Veterans Advisory Board Meeting at Seven21’s spacious studio space. Veterans and Veteran advocates in the 19th Congressional District and surrounding areas attended. Seven21 webcasted the meeting via live stream and archived for those unable to attend.

“Hosting the board meeting at Seven21 was an honor. This was our first live webcast that premiered the Blackmagic ATEM video switcher. The board meeting was also archived for those to watch at a later time, allowing the community full participation even if absent from the actual meeting,” states Jeremy Ellenbogen, CEO and President of Seven21 Media Center.

The board meeting updated attendees on legislative initiatives in Congress. The impact of Vietnam veterans, with the re-introduction of Congressman Gibson, was a significant topic for attendees. Attendees provided the Congressman with feedback during the meeting. “The board meeting updated attendees on legislative initiatives in Congress. Congressman Gibson recently reintroduced legislation to ensure a greater number of Vietnam Veterans could receive coverage for illnesses and diseases linked to Agent Orange exposure, which was a key topic of discussion. Attendees also provided the Congressman with feedback during the meeting. “Providing access to those unable to attend is key to keeping the community informed on issues that impact them. We appreciate the ability to webcast similar events in the future to maintain open communication with the Congressman’s constituents,” said Steve Bulger, District Director for Congressman Gibson.”
