WBPM (Pamal Broadcasting) Rocks the Seven21 Media Center

The Seven21 Media Center located on Broadway in Kingston, has recently welcomed to the building Pamal Broadcasting 92.9 WBPM to have more space for sales managing, client meetings, and future live broadcasting. Founded in 1986, the family-owned radio station  owns  numerous different radio stations in the Hudson Valley area. Prior to the move, WBPM was located on John Street in Kingston for 38 years. Although Don Verity, general manager of Pamal, knew the move was going to be an adjustment he believed that the relocation to the Seven21 Media Center would ultimately be beneficial in moving forward. Pamal Broadcasting has several other stations in the Hudson Valley including K104, 100.7 WHUD, 107.1 The Peak, and Real Country 1260AM. Pamal also as stations located in Albany, Glens Falls, Vermont, and Springfield. WBPM, which stands for “World’s Best Popular Music,” plays “classic hits” from 1965-1989. Radio still has a major presence in the lives in many people. A popular show on the station is Bob Miller in the Morning. From 6am-10am, listeners can tune in and  listen to Bob Miller and Brian Jones start the day. Throughout the rest of the day 92.9 WBPM provides a great mix of classic hits for work and the car. The morning show is a great way for commuters on their drive to work to get local news, events, and weather. 92.9 WBPM also  is involved with many community events including the annual July 4th Celebration on the Rondout Waterfront. Verity was familiar with Seven21 previous to the Ellenbogen’s  acquiring it, and now he “loves the transformation and renovation” that has been done to the building. “It is so enjoyable to be in a building like this not only for the great people, but for the atmosphere and the facilities we have access to.” Don’s reason for his relocation, was that Pamal Broadcasting “needed more space and a place that was more client friendly.” Verity is using the new space for sales managing, meetings with clients, radio commercials, and live broadcasts. In the future, Pamal hopes to use the space here at Seven21 to host live music events. After we interviewed Verity, it was clear that he had happily found his new home at the Seven21 Media Center.  President and CEO of Ellenbogen Creative Media, Jeremy Ellenbogen says,  “We plan to accommodate Don and his crew with all the necessary resources we have, and we look forward to working with him in the near future."
