Seven21 provides Ideal Space for NYC Film Production

Deep Forest Productions, from NYC, has been renting office, studio, and edit suites at Seven21 for the filming of The Sisterhood of Night, based on Steven Millhauser’s short story about a high school girl who over exposes a secret society in her hometown.

Regardless of the story’s location of Fairview, New Jersey, the historic Kingston area was the perfect shooting location.  Peter Bobrow, Production Manager, stated “being situated at Seven21, also provided ideal spaces for the locality of the crew’s shoots throughout the area, including the Kingston High School”. This occasion granted recognition to the community, while giving students hands on experience as extras or interns.

The crewmembers maintained communication throughout the six-week period by having their office and studio close by. As sets were being assembled downstairs, production scheduling was taking place upstairs, allowing quick communication crucial to their tight deadlines.

Deep Forest Productions also didn’t have to search far for movie props. The Ellenbogen Group provided materials ranging from a DJ turntable to news reporting props needed to successfully complete their shoots.

Deep Forest Films completed filming on December 7 and will begin post-production.
