The Blue Shift - Alan Glover Jazz DVD
When critically acclaimed progressive jazz musician Alan Glover approached Ellenbogen Creative to shoot a DVD, Jeremy Ellenbogen jumped at the opportunity to leverage the talents and resources of the Seven21 Media Center.
Ellenbogen Creative built a cocktail lounge set, complete with starlit backdrop, in the Studio A production space. While Glover and his ensemble "The Juice Quartet" tore through avant-garde jazz masterpieces, the company managed the shoot from the large adjacent control room. On the Underground level, K-Town Studios was running the audio and video into their own control room, recording a multitrack mix of the performance (and later mixing in full Dolby 5.0 surround sound).
Video editing and DVD authoring was handled by Ellenbogen Creative, as was the production of the DVD itself, thanks to the company's in-house duplication center. The jazz was in full swing, and thanks to 360 degrees of media expertise available in the Seven21 building, it was captured in stunning high fidelity for us all to bop to.
